Frank Vignola is one of the world’s finest jazz guitarists. He’s had praise heaped upon him by none other than the great Les Paul, whose music – accompanied by the vocal stylings of Mary Ford – gave a whole generation some terrific music. You may even think you’re listening to Paul, but it’s pure Vignola, shattering the barrier between popular music and traditional jazz.
In addition to Vignola’s guitar, there are other skilled artists on mandolin, percussion and bass.
We’re told that the first half of the program will feature popular favorites like Summertime, Tico Tico, I’m Getting Sentimental Over You, and many more. Then comes even more fun, as the second half of the program allows the audience to try to “stump the band”! They may even be taking requests.
For transportation from Yellowstone Place, call 642-6668 by 1 p.m. next Monday, September 29th; rides cost $6.00, payable to the driver (please remember that the driver does not make change); rides will depart 218 Yellowstone at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday. Join your friends and neighbors for this opening concert of another fun season!
